Margaret Kocherga Receives Best Student Oral Presentation at 50th North American Silicon Symposium

Margaret Kocherga, a 3rd year graduate student in the Nanoscale Science Ph.D. program, received the award for best oral presentation by a student at the 50th North American Silicon Symposium in Columbia, SC on May 15th, 2019. The North American Silicon Symposium brings together individuals from industry and academia to celebrate innovation in silicon chemistry. Margaret presented her research on “Hexacoordinate Silicon Complexes as Electron Transport Materials”. This research is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Division of Chemistry (NSF-CHE #1800331), under the direction of Dr. Tom Schmedake, Dr. Michael Walter , and Dr. Yong Zhang.
